Dutch Cheek.
I’ve a dutch guy as a partner for one of my modules. We were supposed to meet up today to do up our storyboard for tmr’s class. Was standing near the canteen waiting for him, and then saw him walking towards me. Like I always do, I waved and said “Hi”. Then I turned around to look for a table when I saw his arm stretched towards me. Was thinking, what’s he doing man? Seeing me turn away, he said, “Kiss?” Then I, “OH, ok…”
(Hmm, hairy cheeks.)
First time, a cheek kiss. Didn’t know how to go about doing it, but just did as I vaguely recall from TV. I hope I wasn’t blushing, but I sure couldn’t concentrate on the storyboard for at least the first 10mins. Think he must have felt super malu-ed when I just turned away. Guess its just their culture, definitely not mine.

hey I also kenna the french cheek for the first time.. I was like WHAT THE HELL!!! in my head.. and he was about to do it.. and then he said sorry. AHAHHA oops... but i don't think dutch peeps do that lehs!!! how come my dutch friend never do that to me.. if only the cute one did a dutch cheek to me hehe

haha yea i dont see many dutch peeps doing this. only saw once and experienced once. well, maybe cos this guy went on exchange to spain for 1 year. and guess im more fortunate than you rita, cos he's kinda cute haha.
hahaha.. fortunately u're not in New Zealand.. Maoris say hello by rubbing noses.. =) interesting experience i would say..
